Sail Away Beyonce

Well, it's been awfully hot here in the swamp lately, luckily the shop's A/C is as cool as the newly established Ken Cox Teenage Fanclub. If you missed out on the pun, be sure to fill your buzzoven with our previous blog post Behind the Wall of Sleep. Meanwhile, be sure to ask TJ about his recent massage. It fits in somewhere in The Nightman Cometh of "You gotta pay the toll troll--If you wanna get into that boy's hole..."

"Let's get down to brass tacks here...How much for the ape?"  We hope you kids have kept up with our new weekly #legendsofthevoid on the shop's Instagram page...we'll be featuring old and new work done by each of the guys every week and maybe it'll even be something on your sweet peachy-ass!!

Story hour with TJ: Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 8pm.
Life moves pretty fast, and we hope you are moving with us as we introduce the latest trends in skin fashion, like recently Donn's Day of the Dead Teapot and TJ's Gojira (that's Godzilla for you 'merican folk) and Ken's bizarre skull, speaking of which be sure to check out Ken's updated potfolio on the website soon to feature a #allthewaybeyonce chatroom for a behind scenes look into the yachtsman himself with his new sailboat adventures. Deadliest Catch ain't got shit.

We love thy neighbors, and what better way than support Nola's Art for Arts' Sake in our backyard. This year is our 5th anniversary supporting this rad event. So come on down by the shop on Saturday, Oct. 4th, for music sets by Wicked Son and Durel from The Suplecs. We'll have shirts and prints for sale as well as art on display. PLUS---food catered by Juan's Flying Burrito and free beer and special cocktail punch prepared by our friend Jon Peterson of Barrel Proof.

Next up is the Diabolical Art Show, brought to you by our friends at Scorpion Tattoo, will be opening on Oct. 3rd lasting through the 10th at the East End Studio Gallery in Houston. Donn, TJ, and Ken have all submitted artwork and there are plenty of others posted on the Diabolical Instagram feed. So check it out and remember it's not just bigger in Texas, it's wider too.

How 'bout sum NEW TATTOOAGOGO SHOP SHIRTS...? (Ain't nobody got time for that!?)  Well, come on by the shop to get yours and we'll even sign your skin with a 3RL. Or drop us $22 at our PayPal account and we'll ship it to you (sealed with a kiss from our shop mermaid).

"We can't stop here! This is bat country!!"

Behind the Wall of Sleep

In the words of Francis Begbie "That lassie got glassed, and no cunt leaves here till we find out what cunt did it..."

While some of ya'll have been couch napping all summer watching Dukes of Hazard reruns, dem Duke boys at Tattooagogo have been at it again! While we might be lacking in Daisy Duke cutoffs, we'll make up for it with TJ in a speedo (next blog post...) speaking of fashion, did you catch the #HawaiianshirtFriday posts on the shop's Instagram and Twitter feeds? Be sure to follow both for all the latest shop gossip, woven by Lord Vader himself, and tell a friend or foe. We've been updating the website adding new photos and descriptions (question of the day: what does that dragon represent?)  Donn, TJ, and Kenny will be adding to their portfolios and you'll find an assortment of photos and other details across all our media sites---so get yo shit (it's free, you know?)

Donn recently returned from Japan where he got a few new tattoos, toured Buddhist temples, and slayed dragons (but only the evil ones). He also got a new tattoo from the soon-to-be-legend D3 carrying the torch of the Davis' tradition after only 10 winters on the planet. D3's next piece will be a rendition of Princess Leia chained to the rougarou. And on the August table, Donn has begun a new Boba Fett Samurai piece, finished a peony & butterfly 3/4 sleeve, along with plenty others that you can find on Donn's Instagram feed and portfolio.

BTW, when was the last time you had a 'lil toe feel? Our very own Cajun Fabio, TJ, is #straightbangin the #steadyslangin all the while on his search to uncover the real Mr. Marrero. TJ has been working on a painting for the Diabolical Art Show which will be in Houston, TX on Oct. 3-10 (Donn & Kenny will be submitting work as well) in addition to his normal grind of artwork--some featured in this video clip (Kenny on vocals).  Be sure to follow TJ on Instagram for his daily sermon and sacrifices.

Last but not least the search continues for Animal Chin or the teenage sensation working at the shop (I had to Google Macklemoore, wtf?) In any case, Kenny has given me special permission to use the honorary #allthewaybeyonce tag, yet now I hardly have anything worthy to use it with. Nonetheless, Kenny has finished up some rad work, like Landon's back piece (above) and started a wicked little beast on Jon, finished a 3-titty pirate, along with plenty of other artwork that gives me flashbacks when I took lots of LSD while in the U.S. Navy. Make sure you follow Kenny and #TeamAcid for the latest of esoteric oddities.

Lord Vader promises to summon the darkside of the blog a few times a month. Stay tuned for more Tattooagogo happenings. In addition, we'll also be featuring some of our favorite local businesses and upcoming events. So with that, I'll sign off for now with to be continued...or as Begbie says "Shag her senseless" until next time.

Now this is rising from the dead like a zombie on AMC

Hello folks, it has been awhile but we are about to kick this blog into high gear and get it going and promise to update it weekly. The plan is to every Monday we will all give a few pics of tattoos, artwork and fun stuff that goes around the shop into a folder and load it up here. We have spent the last year or so becoming Instagram-a-holics and figure that people need to be able to view our shit bigger than a viewfinder on a camera so lets put it all here. I hope yall will join us and follow us and let us know what you think.

This year coming up is gonna be a big one with several conventions starting with Austin in january and we are gonna take the south by storm. We did the New Orleans one like usual since it is our home town and had lots of fun with the guys from out of town who joined us. Jason Thomas from Jackson Ms, Doc Cooper from Saint Tattoo in Tennesse, Justin Shaw from Faith Tattoo in Santa Rosa California and Jason Kelly from Live Free Tattoo in Atlanta all came down and had good time enjoying the sights and taste of New Orleans.

So here are a few tasty pics of whats been going on and tune in next week to see what we have in store next.

So here we have our newest shirts. The green one is available n long or short sleeve and we have the spider design also available in red shirt with black design. The spider is also printed on soft womens style smoke colored shirts with the design in black.Very cool and I will post pics of it soon.

Here are a few recent tattoos by Donn.
These pics are from the Killeen Texas Tattoo convention and was lots of fun. Gotta give it up to the Guzman family for throwing a serious convention that had a great party atmosphere where everybody had some great fun!

Since our last blog post we have added Ken Cox to our crew and he has turned out to be a great addition to the Tattooagogo Family and he keeps us laughing along with pumping out his stellar brand of tattoos. Come by to check out his serious collection of handpainted flash he is always producing.

I am gonna have to hit up Theophile for some new pics since I don't have any of his around on my desktop right now. Come back next Monday to see whats going on and for more catch up.

So it's been a great year so far for us! We've been really busy, and because of that I sometimes can neglect this blog. Jamie Ruth is back in london until June so we've got a little rotation of guys doing some guest spots. Things are going great at the shop and we out do ourselves everyday in order to keep that momentum strong! Here's a little bit of whats been going on lately around the shop!

hellooooo 2012!

So as we welcome in the new year it's customary to reflect on the year that we've put behind us. 2011 was a very eventful year for the shop.We participated in an exhibition at Southeastern Louisiana's gallery, we honed our biannual Sailor Jerry Sunday into a very successful and fun event for all, traveled to San Antonio for their convention and participated in the New Orleans convention. We also said goodbye to two very talented artists (Don't worry, they're still alive.) Nixxin moved to Austin, and Larry moved back home to Indiana. Both of them will be returning regularly to come hang out and tattoo so don't worry too much. We also welcomed Jamie Ruth to the Tattooagogo family. She recently moved back from London and will be with us through March. She fits into the daily shananigans around the shop very nicely! You should definitely pick up a tattoo from her while she's in town!

So enough of that. Here's a look at what's been going on with us these days!

Heres Donn's wall at the "Ink & Needles" show put on by Southeastern University's gallery director, Professor Dale Newkirk. Thanks once again Dale for putting on one hell of a show. It was great to be a part of this.

A water sleeve that Donn recently completed.

Just a portion of a body suit in the works by Donn.

Avery nice koi that Donn recently finished! Looks like that things about to jump off his chest!

Donn's take on the Seafood de Lis!

Heres a healed photo of a sugar skull Theophile recently tattooed on a diver client of his. Divers get great tattoos!

Fun angel tattoo Theophile did recently.

This was the clients first tattoo, and what a way to start a collection!

This tattoo is on Theophile's buddy in the Navy. The outline was done a year ago before he went to Japan. We promptly finished her up when he came home for Christmas!

On any given day this is how you may find our floor guy Matt bustin a move.

Here's a little photo from Theophile's White Trash Bash! Merikuh!!!

Heres some cool swallows and roses done by Ms. Jamie Ruth!

Yea....we like ta' party.

Some sweet little pistols by Jamie.
